It is an odd blend – humanity. Each of us put into the blender of society and thoroughly mixed. Scholars with morons, scientists and custodians, cats and dogs. Sometimes it is a recipe for disaster and yet, other times a symphony is created. No two outcomes are ever the same.
Various spices added are attitude, opinions, silliness, anger, worry, excitement and impatience. With all sorts of expectations sprinkled in.
Just as oil and water do not mix well, so is the relationship between Northerners and Southerners, surfers and CEO’s, men and women, hawks and rabbits, spark plugs and spaghetti.
And yet, we are all in the same mixing bowl. Philosophers with canasta players, painters with farmers and between them – scarecrows completely void of flavor.
Things half-baked
still make it to the table. Kites with
short string just don’t fly as high. We
simply move on to the next thing. We
make it work. There must be something in
the mix that exudes tolerance.
