I wonder, could there be a day filled with nothing but wonderful aromas? No sights, or sounds, no GPS indicating in which direction to travel. Only guided by the scent before you. Waking up in the morning to the aroma of fresh baked cookies. The more you walk towards it, the stronger the smell becomes.
But wait, that slight breeze you just walked through holds the heavy scent of meatloaf. Yum, that reminds you of a Friday after school, when your mother fixed her favorite recipe in that heavy pan. Now you’re picking up a hint of mashed potatoes. You hadn’t realized it before but now you’re getting hungry. And there's that note of melting butter.
Your eyes are still
closed as you step into a very familiar aroma.
What is that? It isn't food. It is very pleasant
and reminds you of something, but what?
Is it that girl’s perfume? The
one that sat next to you during the school assembly? I remember her. The smell and the memory makes you smile.
