I noticed in England
they call an elevator, a lift. This
makes no reference to the decent at all, as if rising is all it does. Hardly accurate nomenclature.
Up on that ridge.
However, should you already be there, wouldn’t
it be – here, on this cliff?
Things change, depending upon where you are.
It was in the final 2
seconds yesterday when a team lost the game.
A simple mistake that will live with the players forever. A bad decision, a wrong move and it was all
over.
However, those
wearing the other team’s colors found great joy and relief in those last seconds. They will relive that moment in their minds. They will talk about it throughout history as
a bright spot worthy of celebration.
Years from now, that
photograph will mean different things to different people. One might see it as a cliff, while another
sees it as a ridge. The same picture can
both elevate as well as send that sinking feeling into the pit of your stomach.
