It’s called
Drop-Forge. It is a massive machine
designed to actually drop a very heavy weight onto a metal sheet that lays over
the desired form. The end result is the
sheet of metal now conforms to the shape of the die that was beneath it, which
could be an automobile fender or a kitchen sink or anything in between.
