There are things sitting here and there that mostly go unnoticed. There is no real reason for them, it’s just stuff. As I walked by one such collection of things, it got me to thinking about the history of everything. Each item has its own history. All different things that followed different paths and yet they all ended up here.
The timeline for each is different, as is the original place from where each came. Various spots from around the country, or maybe even from around the world, are all gathered here on my floor.
Long after I am gone, their journey will most likely continue. Into an estate sale or possibly bundled into some deal with an antique shop. No matter what, their adventure will continue. Their history will continue to grow.
Being a stuff
Archaeologist might be a fun profession.
With today’s technology, it could prove a great deal easier than digging
in the dirt, searching for who knows what, from who knows when. Wandering through an antique shop, wearing a
headlamp and carrying a dust cloth sounds fairly easy.
