How arrogant the humans
to think they can repair
all the damage they have done
to the oceans and the air,
The game is all but over
with humans still at bat
you cannot see to center field
the air is so darn fat.
Conservation - is a swing and miss
Recycle is an out –
The weather, it has stopped the game
acid rain – no doubt.
Landfills and Cemeteries
lay just beyond the gate
quiet spins the planet
plastic bottle at home plate.
