Without Warning

What if someday our air suddenly thickened up like Jell-O.  By some strange quirk of fate, we could still breathe, sort of like fish breathing underwater, but we could no longer move within it.  We couldn’t walk, our cars and trucks couldn’t drive through it, and certainly no planes could take off.  Everything would be stuck.  Maybe wiggle a little but that’s it.  The sun could still shine through it, but there would be no breeze to move the leaves on the trees.  Birds would be suspended, like Christmas ornaments, while both dog and frisbee hung motionless, trapped in potential.

The simple act of blinking would be so incredibly frustrating, and of course there would be no more smokers, or gum chewers, nothing.   All movements would be suspended.  The entire planet would be enveloped in silence.  But because this is my moronic idea, my fingers and keyboard would be immune to everything.  Ha Ha

I could still type this nonsense, and the Blog would live on.

The End
