Most often it isn’t readily apparent,
but there are some songs that get stuck in your head. To look at the sheet music you can’t see
it. Run your hand across it and it doesn’t
feel sticky, but trust me, there is an adhesive quality, either in the melody
or the words, but it’s something. Once
it is in there, you’ll struggle to remove it.
Standing on one foot and jumping
up and down won’t do it, trust me, I’ve tried.
Drinking water and holding your breath is useless as well. I have even tried having someone sneak up
behind me and scare me. Nothing. The song is still in there. Some have recommended a teaspoon of peanut
butter, but I think that’s for hiccups or malaria, I’m not sure.
If you know a cure, please write
back and let me know what it is. I’ll
try anything once, because late last night I heard the screen door slam, and a
big yellow taxi took away my old man. Don’t it always seem to go, that you don’t
know what you’ve got till it’s gone…
STOP IT!

Totally Understand! 50 years ago, we took the boys to Disneyland and got stuck in a ride and heard "It's a Small World (After All)" song for over an hour! We all almost needed therapy after that!!
