The Wizard's Finger

 

There is a mysterious post in the Green River in upstate New York.  Everyone who has witnessed its powers has become a believer.

 

Nothing has ever been able to pass this marker on either side, not canoe, not swimmer, or even turtle.  It holds some kind of power that extends to each shoreline.

 

Fish have been seen swimming up to it and then simply stopping.  They may stay there for a moment or two but eventually turn around and go back from where they came.  It isn’t a physical barrier nor is it electric.  Professional divers have investigated this phenomenon but haven’t been able to explain it.

 

Locals refer to it as The Wizard’s Finger.  Nothing has yet been found within the written history of the area, and the age of this post has not been determined.
