Of course there are line
monitors. There are always long lines
for time travel. The job of the monitors
is to explain to those in line that even though there are no restrictions on
what you can bring with you into the future, most things will have no value or usefulness. Many seniors feel they need their money or
credit cards. They are very reluctant to
simply go empty-handed.
For many years, I was a line
monitor. The difficult part for some
people to grasp is that there are very strict restrictions on what you can
bring back from the future. The answer
to that was absolutely nothing. Nothing
could ever return with you. In fact, they had
to sign a form and leave a DNA marker, signifying they read and understood the
rules, as well as the consequences for any violation.
Depending on the time you
selected, whatever health problems you were suffering would be gone
completely. They don’t exist in the
future. And - oh! Let me tell you about amusement parks. Places like Disney Land have no mechanical
rides. They had, years ago, what once
was called an E ticket. That would get
you onto the best rides in the park. Now
there is an H ticket. It is only your hologram
that goes on the ride, but you, your actual self, experience all the sensations, all the motion
and visual effects. Trust me, the
excitement, and sometimes fear, is real.
I will tell you more about this
later, but my coffee is getting cold.

I like it! No Chance of getting stuck at the top of the Farris Wheel or your car careening off the Roller Coaster.
