This was not an ordinary fish. I have seen Rainbow Trout before, but nothing like this. Just like a firefly, this fish could make itself light up. I waited quite a while to get a clear picture of him, but I ended up settling for this shot of him through the water.
I wondered if it had swallowed some battery-operated fishing lure. Anything is possible, I guess. Something was inside that fish and lighting up. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that leaving it a mystery was the best possible ending.
So, I have no idea
how it was doing it, but whenever I’m down at the water, I look for him. Maybe I should come down here at night.
Yes, there is such a thing.
