An odd
design
A strange
creation
doesn’t
really seem that fair -
Turtles made
to swim in
water
must lift
their head to breathe the air,
They hold
their breath
and do it
well
beneath a
large and heavy shell,
Even if
my name were
Myrtle
I wouldn’t want
to be a turtle,
I’d hang my
head
and leave my
home –
were I the
one who wrote this poem.
