The seagull, unfamiliar with toothpaste as he was, didn’t
even try to unscrew the cap. The
squirrel had never seen a bag of groceries left at the beach before and wasn’t
sure about what to do with anything.
Farther along, a little higher up on the sand, sat a pair of
tennis shoes with keys and a wallet tucked inside, while being pecked at by two
different seagulls. Curious and
disappointed that it wasn’t food continued to peck
at the laces just for fun.
Out beyond yelling distance, a hefty shark glances up at the
shadow of a surfboard overhead, on each side, arms splashing at the water.
