The problem, as I see it, has always been the other
shoe. It is in the quiet time, just
after, when the other shoe falls. The
other shoe always brings with it chaos and disharmony. I don’t believe the type of shoe
matters. It can be a highly polished wingtip,
or a dusty loafer, it makes little difference in the grand scheme of things.
I truly believe that slipper-socks are the answer. Don’t fall for that two shoe deal when
shopping for footwear. Nothing says you
have to buy both the left and right shoe.
If you are left-footed then just purchase the left shoe. Inform the clerk that you’re only going to
pay half, as you are leaving one shoe behind.
They can simply adjust their inventory.
Slipper-socks are a real thing. Look them up.
Invest in several pairs. You’ll
thank me later.

Yep - I got me some! They fit perfectly, are quiet for sneaking around, they polish and dust your floors as you walk, and you don't have to polish them - just throw in the washer! The perfect foot adornment.
