A Reasonable Doubt

So, who determines what is reasonable?  When you consider that each individual is comprised of complex emotions, fluctuating attitudes and a wide variety of life experiences, how can they possibly share a unified baseline of logic?

The truth is, they can’t.  Into the mix comes a large percentage of compromise.  That compromise is influenced differently, moment to moment.

“If I just agree with you, we’ll get out of here sooner.”  “If I vote like she does, they’ll think I’m just as wacked as her.  I’m not going to do that.”

Being comprised of people, the system is inherently flawed.  Truth rarely floats to the top.  Everything remains murky and cloudy.

Reasonable – isn’t even in the neighborhood.  You can't look into the legal system expecting to see truth.  It can't be done.
