Nertz!

 

From distant skies where air is thin

across the miles and past the farms

against the mighty blowing winds

where angels keep us all from harm

 

Her feather floated and rested here

It’s such a lovely gentle thing

I hope she isn’t blown off course

with this missing from her wing.

 

 

 

The title is a reference to Major Frank Burns,
from the TV show MASH.  He would say
Nertz instead of something crude or vulgar.
  I found that to be appropriate here.
