The duck assumed the umbrella had been put there for her,
however, it wasn’t an umbrella at all but the shadow of an owl that was perched
on a branch just above the duck. The
duck looked up at me and said, “That, my friend, was a very long sentence.”
I couldn’t very well argue with her, it was a rather lengthy sentence,
so I started over.
Sometimes we think something is one thing when it is really
something else. Take, for example, the
duck who mistook a shadow to be an umbrella.
For the moment she was enjoying the shade that was being provided by the
owl.
Little did she know, (Hey, wait a minute) this isn’t going to
turn ugly, is it? Like now you’re going
to say the owl was hungry and because an owl can eat a duck…
Now why would I do that?
I’ve never written anything disgusting before, have I?
Well, I just didn’t like where that was headed.
Fine. I’ll start
again.
Once upon a time,
(You don’t have to get sarcastic about it.)
Look, maybe we’ll just watch a movie.
That’s fine with me.
