Infrared Light

This is what my night-vision camera uses.  The animals do not see the infrared light, therefore they are not frightened away by it.

Here’s the part I don’t get.  When I’m watching the animals that have been filmed, they are casting a shadow.

I can clearly see the critters, even though it is very dark outside.  They show up easily when in front of the camera, but how is it they cast a shadow if there is no actual light shining on them?

I truly believe my high school could have explained all this to us, had they not been bogged down in the endless drivel spewed out by that Shakespeare guy.

What's he done for us lately?  Maybe he had some questions as well.  "What yonder light doth cast a shadow be?"

"Tis Hamley, thy baker and I have the yeast."

OK, now you're just getting silly.

Cleaver - I was trying to come up with something Shakespearish - but nope - everything was Hamelishy!
