There had to be a bazillion insects

 I took my kayak through the swamp.
It was very beautiful, but making my
way back at night was quite scary.

I'm glad I snapped these pictures on
the way in.   Coming back out, after dark

 all the sounds seemed intensified. 

I usually don't respond to comments, however, more than a few of you asked how I found my way out of there in the dark.  I had  light clamped onto the front of the kayak.  That's also how I saw a bazillion bugs swarming as I made my way through them.
