Dear Crew of the Space Station

Today it is windy with a prediction of rain later on.  You’re not missing anything in the news.  They still just report on the dregs of society and on the political shenanigans.  Slowly but surely, most folks are phasing out their new year’s resolutions to exercise more.  Diets have given way to the munchies and prices in general are still going up.

Health care in this country is just about non-existent, while it is the insurance companies dictating to the doctors as to what is best for the patients.  Be glad you’re up there. All the monkeys aren’t in the zoo.

New cars have priced themselves out of reach of the general public and Amazon has pretty much wiped-out small retailers.   If, while you are up there, you can invent time travel, you may want to go back in time and invest in Amazon.  I'm just saying...

I hope I am wrong, but I expect libraries will be next to disappear, like the small-town newspapers did.  Technology is eroding the classroom and colleges and universities will soon no longer be needed.  Smart phones hold more information, and with more accuracy than any degreed person can.

Although I’d probably get a D- on this letter.

Hope to see you back soon.

Z. Corwin

Yep - you speak the truth and it's called "Progress". Imagine what you would have written about progress 100 or even 50 years ago! Wow!
