Tugs

I have to say,

at least I think -

I've never seen

a tugboat sink.

Designed to push

pull or nudge,

Ships that are

too big to budge.

They pull with ease

a barge of logs,

While not detoured

by storm or fog.

Gotta love

the mighty tug,

To look at them

they seem so smug.

Stronger than

a mighty whale,

They do it all,

without a sail,

From where they get

such mighty force,

To keep these other

ships on course -

I cannot say,

I just don't know -

some say the Devils

down below.
