Tomorrow I shall sit
quiet in the woods,
I will enjoy the scampering
squirrel -
I will hear the distant drill
of the woodpecker.
I will know the breeze
upon my face,
and taste the morning dew.
I will hear the quiet
over the roar of the city,
and smell the freshness
instead of exhaust.
Tomorrow my life will start
again,
for the Jay and the Cardinal
shall carry away my soul.
