ZZ Top and Doorways

I think I understand the significance of whiskers on animals.  They are the curb-feelers of the 40’s and 50’s.  The cat knows if it can fit into a space by the feel of its whiskers against the edges of the opening.  A catfish will easily swim between rock formations for the same reason.  Whiskers rub against the edges, like a curb feeler kept your tires from scraping along the cement.

The part I don’t comprehend is why people have facial hair.  It certainly isn’t an early warning system.  “Hey Buddy, you better turn back, you’re not going to fit.”

Beatniks shaped their facial hair into goatees, psychiatrist’s tug on their beard while they’re thinking, and politicians shave their face in hopes of appearing to be honest and clean-cut.

To me, the only part that makes sense is a mustache.  When enjoying a refreshing beverage, you tip the glass up which sends the ice cubes sliding towards your upper lip.  The mustache acts as a cushion.  This is why you see women using straws.

I agree......except for the mustache part! Plucking and shaving is a time-consuming process. Facial hair on girls SUCK!
