Did I break it?

You see, I tend to stray and sometimes that gets me into trouble.  On this particular occasion, I was wandering around the world of artificial intelligence, and I began to wonder what a statue of a noun would look like.

A Noun being a person, place or thing, I asked AI to combine all three into one statue, just to see what it came up with.  Little did I know I was stepping off the edge of the page.

Because we are in the early stages of AI, the gray areas are rather large and apparently dangerous.  Just like a baby rattle snake is more dangerous than an adult, so is the young AI.  You see, when a baby rattle snake bites, it doesn’t yet know that it can release just a small amount of its venom, so it sends everything to its prey, whether that is a rabbit or your ankle.

AI keeps attempting to solve the problem it was given.  It doesn’t know to quit.  The learning aspect of the program was not designed for the wise guy, the smart-aleck, or apparently the likes of me.

In the lower, right corner of my AI screen there is a small circle.  The circle has a short white section that rotates around the circle.  That is to show me that it is thinking.  It is searching for a solution to the problem.  It has been circling for 11 days now, with no end in sight.  At any minute I expect to see smoke coming from the back of my computer.

But then, just before the smoke...

and then, another appeared.

OK, so maybe it works.

A perfect statue of a Noun.
