It's the way I was Teached

 

I’m writing this in English
using up my words –

Arranging them in single file
in sentences absurd,

Even though my grammar
conveys a thought to you,
my thinking’s sometimes scratchy
ideas a bit askew,

If only I could take a beat
unplug and start again -
I wouldn’t mix my where & how
with why, because and when.
