How was your day?

My eyes don’t always see it immediately, but my brain does.  It sees the correlation between the large flock of seagulls along the beach and the massive number of cars parked at the factory.

It is in the building, in offices and conference rooms and up and down the hallways they talk about wind direction, the temperature of the sand and the smell of fish in the air.  They speak of flight, of bullies and past adventures.

Suddenly there is a signal, it’s over, time to leave.  The entire flock files out, driving in unison – this way, then that.  Turning as a group out over the waves.

The factory is dark and quiet, the beach deserted.  At home babies squawk knowing it is dinner time.

Ya but those seagulls are more graceful than the cars.....but then again, they are just following the leader - doing what they are told. Wait - don't we do that too????
