She never could
understand why he bought the boat. He
didn’t sail and hated fishing. In fact,
he had never taken it out on the lake.
Several times he tried to explain it to her, but she never got it. He simply enjoyed photographing it. He loved the craftsmanship, the wood, the
lines and curves. He had lost track of
how many pictures he had taken; both color and black & white. Some were extreme close-ups and others just
artsy. Every possible view had been
taken, blown-up, framed, with many hanging on his walls.

Accident at Boggy Lake
Then one day while he was at work, she dragged the boat out to the edge of the lake and sunk it. She was completely fed-up with his photographing obsession. She thought for sure his focus would now change.
Before detective Chalmers
had left the house, he happened to notice the husband smiling, as he was
snapping all kinds of pictures of his wife’s chalk outline.
