Who decided a fist-full of peanuts in every bite was the right amount? Aren’t we all different? Doesn’t each of us have our own needs and desires? Do we not grow at different rates and live in different environments. Can we not choose for ourselves?
Has society taken over, created its own persona and removed us from the equation? Have we allowed the standardizations created by corporations to outsource our ability to choose? Today peanuts – tomorrow our freedom.
Uniformity, efficiency and predictability are not our buzz words but theirs. We thrive in variety and in abundance.
We have allowed the
Department of Weights & Measures to determine how much liquid comprises a
gallon. We have given cooks and bakers
the authority to determine what a dash is and just how much a smidgeon should
be, or a smattering. But peanuts? Really?
I believe a line
should be drawn, but who is to draw it?

It's a good thing we can buy raisins and add as many as we want. We can also change it up and add Golden Raisins.......Not that there is anything wrong with the black ones of course.
