and now something from left field

I don’t actually pick out the clothes the scarecrow wears.  I do know they are not my favorite jeans, or my best shirt.  Also, there are never any shoes or wristwatches involved.  As there are no fingers, rings are not an option.

So, who are we really fooling?  Crows are not stupid.  Over time they have come to know humans are animated, we move around.  I have yet to see any individual stand frozen in one spot for days at a time.

Possibly a straw hat is placed upon the scarecrow, but never have I seen any Foster Grant sunglasses.  And maybe this is the whole point.  If there were such a person standing in the same spot for an extended period of time, there would be cause for concern.   I know I’d tend to move away from them.

So is that the message we’re projecting.  Caution – this person is mentally defective, better stay clear.  In fact, don’t even come around, we can’t be held accountable for what might happen.

That could possibly be giving crows too much credit for their cognitive ability, don’t you think?

I didn't feel an image of a scarecrow

was really needed.

Possibly a pair of sunglasses would have been nice.
