Crustaceans

Not sure why, but I think being one of those little sea creatures along the edge of the tide, the ones who carry their house with them as they travel, well to me, that would be as foreign as living in Saskatoon.  I’ve never been there but any place having such a fun name couldn’t possibly go through life having a fear of seagulls.

Sometimes it is just fun to picture a place and try to imagine what it is like.  Who lives there, what language do they speak, do they celebrate National Barefoot Day and do they only eat spaghetti?  I expect the most important job there would be that of the person operating the street sweeper.  You know, due to everyone being barefoot.

OK, enough silliness. Getting back to the seagulls poking at those little sand creatures.  What kind of life could that possibly be?  I guess, fine – if you are the seagull, but not so much fun if all the time you find yourself getting tumbled by the waves, blown by sandy winds and the moment you stop to catch your breath, some seagull starts jabbing at you with their sharp beak and fishy breath.

Add to that, you've got the tourists, shell picking and reeking of sunscreen.  You can only assume the barefoot ones are from Saskatoon.

It's all about the 'food chain'. Glad we are at the top! Now for Saskatoon. It is a fun name, but I am sure you would have to keep saying it over and over again and spelling it for those who ask your address. I used to live in Surprise, AZ - yep! had to say it again and spell it for most folks!
