An odd and loud tuba
toot
Drifted through the
park
I saw no band
throughout the day
and it came again at dark
From where on Earth
do you suppose
this lonely tuba note
has rose
Perhaps some music
room cross town
escaped this deep,
resounding sound,
A classroom window
left ajar
this note took flight
and traveled far
It crossed my path so
very near
It wasn’t all that
hard to hear
I stopped and quickly
looked around
In hopes to see this
tuba sound
But as life is, so
much unfair
Its color was the
same as air.
As quickly as it came
around
I’d lost this lovely
tuba sound
I reckon I shall
never know
but how I loved that
tuba so.

Tuba or not tuba, that is the question. Nicely done!
