It’s certainly not an emergency
I can’t call 9 – 1 – 1,
They’ve been swallowed by technology
each and every one,
None of them have written me
it’s been a month or so,
They've all left me hanging
by no more than a toe,
I never watch for snail mail
postage is insane,
My cell phone doesn’t vibrate
the battery would drain,
This silence sometimes festers
is it something that I said?
I need a text or email
just something to be read,
