This morning a wild turkey was running to escape an SUV. The driver of the SUV could not see the area of road directly in front of them due to the hood of the vehicle blocking their vision, however, they were aware of the scared bird, so they were driving very slowly.
The bird, not knowing any better, kept running in a straight line down the center of the street, unfortunately that was the only option available to the driver.
This is not a joke or puzzle, it was just an early morning observation out of my front window. The part that caught my attention was not the wild turkey but the slowness of the vehicle. People are forever zipping down this street as if they were the ones being chased.
How great would it be if we could
replace the ignored speed limit signs and just issue each driver their own turkey
as they entered the neighborhood.
