Jumping into Hot Water

 

There are various kinds of handles.  Two different kinds come to mind right away.  There is the handle you pull on your parachute so it will open before you reach the ground, and there is the handle you pull in order to retrieve your teabag from the hot water.

It is that second one I noticed today.  The writing on it said 300 years of experience.  I think I’d like my parachute handle to say that, you know – keeping me out of hot water.

Here’s the math;

The year today is                   2025
         300 years ago was                1725

The first parachute was in    1887

 

That is 162 years of people jumping out of planes
         with parachutes made with zero experience.
