I just found this Tuesday.
It looks clean and new. I wonder
what I’ll do with it.
If it were a box, I could fill it with all kinds of
stuff. I could pack it with friends, or
maybe travel and explore places in it.
Then again, if I treat it like a blank piece of paper, I could
spend all of it writing something fun or serious. No, I don’t have any serious crayons or
ink. Never mind that one.
I know I’m not the only one who gets to put stuff into this
Tuesday. Someone I don’t even know could
sneeze into it and give me a cold, or nature might rain into it or push a storm
through it. I’ll just deal with that if
it happens.
For right now, however, it is all mine, free of sneezy germs
and soggy rain. Right now, it is dry and
clean with only me inside.
I just heard a noise.
It’s in here with me. I don’t
care, some Tuesdays are noisy. I guess
today, mine will be too. Give me a minute,
I need to think.
My goodness, I see this Tuesday is not sealed up. While I’m sitting here thinking, time is
oozing out of it. That just means there
is a very pushy Wednesday headed my way.
That isn’t fair. It’s my Tuesday,
I found it. I should get to determine
how long it is, not some pushy Wednesday.
I can see I'm going to have to share it with you. Fine, just stay on your side and try not to sneeze.
So far, all I've done is to make
one of these.
I call it
Riding on the Handlebars
This is now in my Tuesday
because I just put it here.
