This way and that

 

I’ve never known my west from east

or which way I should turn

Trust me, I have tried before

although I’ve yet to learn

Maybe if the earth was flat

and all the roads were straight

I’d separate my left from right

and not again be late

But it isn’t flat, no not at all

earth is rolled into a ball

The roads have curves with ups and downs

some with tunnels underground

At times they’re switching back and forth

who’s to say which way is north

How’s a driver such as me

to know which lane in I should be

To find because this skill I lack

my exit was a mile back.
