and now it's full again

 

There was a time, not long ago, when I thought that only children believed in magic.  I have since come to realize that the animal kingdom also believes.  (Not this guy, of course)

I placed a bowl of water in the backyard for the various critters to get a drink whenever they want.  I fill it up each day and during the night, racoons, possums and deer come by for a drink.  During the day, it is the crows and squirrels using it.

I can understand that the crows and squirrels see me filling the bowl every day, but what do you suppose the nighttime creatures think about it?  If it hasn’t rained, where is this water coming from?  It’s just always full every time they come by.  It must be magic.

and let me sleep in, they get peanuts

for a treat.
