My Poem for Politicians

Fingers in mittens, toes in your boots

assets get frozen when you’re in cahoots.

Running for office, you’d better think twice,

so easy to slip when you’re on thin ice.

Mean what you say, and just keep it real.

Don’t lie when you promise,

don’t cheat, sneak or steal.

Leave your door open, don’t take a drink.

Consult someone smarter,

if you cannot think.

Make laws for the masses, not for the few.

Make us happy and proud

we voted for you.

  That's it.
