Yuck

 

I didn’t learn it in a school

or hear it from a coach,

I simply knew – when barefoot

don’t step upon a roach.

You’ll feel the crunch

and hear them scream

though only for a sec,

You may wish it was a dream

but their whole day is wrecked.

They believe if they stand very still

you won’t see them at all

"Maybe it’s just sock fuzz

or a shadow on the wall."

Trust me folks, it’s a big old roach

and when you first arose

You should have put your slippers on

or they’ll squish between your toes.
