The room is full of windows.
Each window is actually a book and every book has a different view, a
different adventure and feel to it. It is
so much more than just a room full of books, it is an elaborate set of escape
hatches, where other people, other characters set off on adventures of their
own, and let you tag along without question.
There are places where rabbits wear vests and have pocket
watches, where great ships sail beyond the edges of maps. There are tales of distant galaxies, where
creatures with only two arms and two legs live and build cities, and wonder if
they are alone in the universe.
I have been known to enter this room, only to create hatches
of my own. I take with me expectations
of excitement and hopes of finding another window along the way. It just may be possible to fine that one
window leads to an entirely different room with hatches of its own.
That I find my way, I have left bookmarks sticking out from
each hatch. I see them wagging, as a dog’s
tail, happy to see my return. I am a familiar
face to some and yet to many, I am a hesitant stranger, cautiously turning
pages, not sure of what I’ll find around the next corner.

Great Analogy! However I can read a book in 2 hours! My den is full of DVD's.
