If Money I had

 

I’d buy a villa in Tuscany

put a sign that read sold

buy a clock to turn back

to before I was old,

If money I had

I would plant me a tree

and sail without waves

far out to sea,

With pencil and paper

I’d draw a great plan

grow green beans and corn

right in the can,

I would climb down the cliffs

and stand on the beach,

I’d buy everything now

that’s been out of reach,

like a Tuscany villa

with a vineyard or two

on a cobblestone road

I’d leave just one shoe.
