Iron Gates & Graveyards

Asparagus can’t grow from rock

feet aren't happy

in a sock,

don't stand out

when in a flock,

life's not measured

by a clock,

Yards aren’t measured
by a fence,

Graves are always

in past tense,

Yet clocks and graves

are intertwined

while earth grows rocks

most all the time.

Set your clocks

don’t be late,

Leave asparagus

on your plate,

it’s best when passing

through the gate

to be in present tense.
