Noses are red
eyeses are too
to starve it or feed it
does nothing for you,
a Kleenex gets icky
a hanky gets wet
cough-drops and syrups
don’t hack it I bet,
A bowl full of soup
from a chicken defeathered
is a fowl contentment
when you’re under the weather
So my only advice
summer, winter or fall
is to turn in your mitt
and don’t catch one at all.
