Annoying bird
incessant chirping
Don't you know it’s Saturday?
I need not rise
no cause to shave
not now, not on this day,
There is no boss
no tie to wear
no shoes upon my feet.
Yet you are here
bright and cherry
"Tweet, tweet, tweet."
Annoying bird
please let me sleep
I want to stay in bed,
Find a statue
in the park
and sit on someone’s head.
It’s where you belong
perhaps on Grant
or Henry David Thoreau
I’m sure you’ll like it better
annoying birdy
please just go.
