Two Brothers

 

Two brothers, similar but very different. Both became carpenters, and both specialized in building staircases, but one made only down-going stairs, while the other made only stairs leading up.

This distinction seemed oddly fitting, as one brother was always positive and his brother came off as being very negative.  He was not well liked and eventually stopped socializing altogether.

In fact, his staircase store, called Downers, failed in the first year, while his upbeat brother ended up opening staircase stores in almost every town.  He called them,
