They do this every so often.

 

I grew concerned when I heard the government was going around taking the census.

I certainly didn’t want to give them my sight.  I need it almost every day, and as for my hearing, it seems too important for no other reason than staying alert in the dark.  I couldn’t think of a sense that I wanted to lose.   I was panicky.

Certainly not taste.  I live for candy and ice cream and blueberry pie, and cookies.  I don’t think I want the government taking any of my senses.

Then I re-read the notice.
