We are a unique group. We show up here, checking to see what is written. Is it something funny, or insightful, or maybe inspiring? Or is it just more gibberish, lame comments about nothing at all. Hardly worth the effort. And yet, here we are again.
So just what is this strange alure of thoughts? Words forming images that have spilled from some stranger. Unrelated topics, random concepts and off-the-wall correlations between the chemical breakdown of pudding and shoelace knots.
It has been said that the unexamined life is not worth living. Someone should really take a look at that statement. If you ask me, I think hinges should be examined. Yes, I said hinges. Those gizmo’s that are attached to two different things, hold them together while at the same time, allowing them to swing freely.
Take Doors, for
example. I’ve heard it said that Jim
Morrison came unhinged and that was the end of The Doors. What?
Too soon? Perhaps, that’s a bad
example.
Although becoming unhinged isn’t that difficult in a culture that is changing as quickly as this one.
Alvin Toffler talked
about The Third Wave, and that was some time ago. The first wave was hunting and gathering, the
second being the age of industrialization, and the third wave, of course, is
the information age. No one, however,
talks about the undertow. People getting
swept out and lost forever in the sea of technology.
Our survival seems to
hinge on us having that flotation device under our seats. Don’t bother looking, it isn’t there. Some people simply cling to nostalgia, while
others wander about in denial. Our
little group tends to keep showing up here, hoping for something substantial,
something that doesn’t require recharging.

Your Blog totally unhinges our brains, and we are free to roam about the cabin.
