Larry had made me promise
that I wouldn’t let them put him on life support, but by the time I got to his
room everything had already been connected.
I located the main box and
pried the cover open. My problem was –
both patients in the room were hooked up. I couldn’t
just shut the main box down, I had to figure out if Larry
was in bed (A) or bed
(B).
It wasn’t readily apparent.
